Cinco De Mayo part 2. The first time I went with my friend we had some seafood paella, which was mighty tasty. This time I went with Cindy. We ordered some standard Mexican food which was the Arroz con Pollo and the Chicken Enchiladas. Arroz con Pollo literally translates into chicken with rice. It is basically a Mexican version of chicken fried rice with bits of chorizo. I cannot get enough of this dish which was originally recommended by my friend. Cindy got the chicken enchiladas with a side of refried beans and rice. Both dishes were delicious and highly recommended.

After a day of drinking, my friend and I ventured for some Mexican food for breakfast. We entered into Cinco De Mayo way too early so we just sat at our tables thinking about all the Mexican food we were going to eat while we waited for the waitress to clock in.

We finally ordered and were treated to some beef quesadilla. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the appetizer was very good and also filled with a lot of cheese. Then came the paella which was loaded with various seafoods such as mussels, clams, tilapia, etc. Although the food was good the fish was over steamed which led to a fishier experience… which I did not want to get accustomed to.

After the Williamsburg pool party concert, we wanted to eat somewhere quick and new. We stumbled upon a vegetarian cafe of all places to chow down on some organic wholesome goodness. I was not really nervous about eating at such an establishment because I worked at a vegetarian restaurant before, so I knew what to expect.

Cindy ordered the Bliss Bowl which consisted of cauliflower, yam, tofu, kale, brocolli, beans, red onions seasoned with a side of organic brown rice and lemon tahini miso dressing. I had the Black Bean Burrito which had soy cheese, sweet potato, soy based sour cream, and tomatoes with a side of organic brown rice and a salad.

It was quite delicious. Although the pictures of the food make it kind of look like rabbit food, you would have to taste it to believe it. If you are not a fan of vegetarian food, please try so anyways. You won’t be disappointed!
