I got to meet with my little sister for the first time in months! We decided to go to an Italian restaurant called Noodle Pudding located in Brooklyn Heights.

I usually look forward to the bread and the olive oil and I thought their sauce was extremely tasty. My little sister ordered salmon with lentils while I decided to go for the gnocchi and al pomodoro (tomato) sauce (There was also an option to choose butter and sage sauce instead). I personally thought that the tomato sauce in my dish made the gnocchi taste like ravioli straight from the Chef Boyardee can. However, the gnocchi itself tasted very homemade and it filled my appetite. My little enjoyed her salmon but thought the black barley was too dry.

Overall, it was a descent Italian restaurant. Good price and ambiance. Would stop by again if I lived in the area.

We had some awesome pasta and pizza at this wonderful takeout/restaurant called Franco’s Metro. All the food is made to order, especially the personal brick oven pizzas. We liked Franco’s Metro so much that we had it two weekends in a row. The 1st weekend we ordered the Margherita Pizza with the Spaghetti with Matrigiana sauce. The Matrigiana sauce was a basic tomato based sauce infused with onions. The 2nd weekend we ordered the Spinach Ricotta Pizza with the Pesto Linguine.

The pizza was incredibly good the crust bordering on crispy and chewy. The pasta was also good with the pesto being a little better than the tomato based sauce in my opinion. The meatballs were bready and very soft. This place is highly recommended.

This is my second time eating here. The first time I ate here, I was very content with the taste of the pizza and quality of the crust. The second time also did not disappoint. I had the ricotta spinach white pizza and my girl had the chicken tomato ricotta pizza. Both were amazing. The crust was expected from a pizza joint in Brooklyn.

The zeppole’s we had were also very good…but how can you mess up on confection sugar dumped on fried dough? You can’t.

Highly recommended!

Ordered a pie to share with co-workers at work. I had to get ground beef because one of my co-workers did not eat pork products. I ordered up this concoction to make sure everyone was happy with the toppings. The pizza came out great. Linwood Pizza makes some great pizza!
