Happy 4th of July folks! Hope you all had a fun and safe one with your loved ones. This is the first time in a few years that i have spent the holiday with the family. Instead of the traditional bbq & beers, I had homemade Chinese food (minus the pork and chicken in the photos above which were bought from a Chinese restaurant).

Starting from the first photo, I had: kung pao beef (included celery, onions, green bell peppers, peanuts, chicken, and random spices), pork, chicken, chinese broccoli, ribs, and carrot soup. The kung pao beef was a personal favorite of mine made by my aunt. Although it looks a bit plain, it was very flavorful due to the smoky flavor that came out from the wok. So delish that i asked my aunt for the recipe. She was nice enough to give it to me. 🙂
